Sometimes, insufficient quantity issues are due to improper handling of fees, and the quantity is insignificant compared to the overall transaction. It's not worth the time to figure out the history to reconcile this small amount, and the zero basis is perfectly OK. It would be nice to quickly resolve the issue by having an ability to create a manual adjustment for insufficient quantity from the menu of the specific transaction (along side Ignore Transaction), that creates a manual transaction with same timestamp in same wallet for the insufficient quantity, using a zero basis. While this can be done now by adding a manual transaction the traditional way, I have to copy the timestamp, the calculated insufficient quantity, and its otherwise tedious to do, if you have many of these transactions. A one-click menu option off the transaction menu for the transaction that is tagged with the insufficient quantity flag would be great.
