Users Feature Request:
- Enable creation of new wallets for manual transactions (e.g. from edit transactions view or wallets page).
As a user, what can I do?
- Until this feature has been implemented, users can add a CoinTracker CSV with an unrecognized asset - this will create an empty wallet.

This feature is needed for US users using wallets you don't support, due to the new Tax laws effective in 2025. If you don't allow add support for multiple manual wallets, with cost basis calculations on per wallet basis, I will no longer be able to use cointracker.

Along with this feature request needs to come a way to update a wallet that has been uploaded by CSV. The only way I can currently 'update' the wallet is to 1) update the original CSV that was previously uploaded, 2) upload the revised CSV, 3) delete original CSV and 4) review and re-classify as necessary. An example of this process could be duplicated by attempting to update a Nexo wallet. Sure you can update the original CSV one transaction at a time but that is a lot of work too, especially if you have a years of transactions to update.
I do have a {{{{WORK-AROUND for ADDING UNSUPPORTED WALLET}}}} Here is the work around: 1) format those transaction in Cointrackers requested format, 2) choose create new wallet, 3) select Nexo Wallet, keep the wallet name as Nexo or Nexo2 (you can change the name after successful upload) 4) choose the file you want to upload 5) review and classify as needed and change Nexo name to what ever you like. I used this process last night to add a Kava Wallet.

Add a custom wallet

Let us add a custom wallet without requiring an address.
I.e New wallet > Name wallet > save wallet > add transactions.
You can add transactions, but not into a custom wallet.
I have a wallet with a company called mode who you don't support, who don't give you an address for their bitcoin jar as you move money over from a regular wallet into it to earn interest.
I have no way to track that money unless I could make a custom wallet

It's annoying but the way I've worked around this is to create a CSV upload for a new wallet with one transaction. I name it whatever I need the manual wallet to be called, bring in the transactions needed then remove the "fake" transaction I used in the CSV to create it.
It would obviously be much easier to click a button to add and name a new manual wallet though.

Agree with this. I have a Keplr wallet which has no CSV export of transactions support and have AKT staked and have to track all of this manually outside of CoinTracker.

Ability to create our own wallet that doesn't need to fit your list so I can include purchases made on exchanges you don't support (my examples are Kucoin and Gate.io)
