Feature requested: Exclude futures funding payments from billable transaction counts while preserving them in transaction history and tax calculations.
I use CoinTracker to track my cryptocurrency activity, including Binance Futures and Gate.io Futures.
Futures positions can generate funding payments multiple times per day. CoinTracker imports these payments as individual transactions, even when their value is less than $0.01.
Over a year, these tiny payments can generate thousands of transactions and consume a significant portion of a paid plan's annual transaction allowance.
I would like CoinTracker to introduce a feature that:
- Automatically identifies funding payments from supported futures exchanges.
- Excludes these payments from annual billable transaction limits.
- Preserves every funding payment in transaction history and includes it in the appropriate tax calculations.
- Applies consistently to Binance Futures, Gate.io Futures and other supported derivatives exchanges.
Funding payments are a routine part of holding futures positions, rather than separate trading decisions. Counting every tiny payment toward the annual transaction limit can force users to upgrade their plans simply because they keep a futures position open.
This feature would encourage users to keep their futures wallets connected and maintain complete, accurate transaction histories instead of removing them to avoid exceeding their plan limits.
Thank you for considering this request.
