Uphold 1099-DA PDF Marked Invalid
complete
Eric
What is the issue?
Some users receive the error message when uploading their Uphold 1099-DA:
“The uploaded PDF does not appear to be a valid 1099-DA document. No proceeds data could be extracted.”
This prevents the system from extracting proceeds data from their 1099-DA PDF.
What is the workaround?
Users can:
- Ensure they are uploading the original, unedited 1099-DA PDF downloaded directly from their exchange.
- Try re-downloading the PDF and re-uploading it.
- If the issue persists, users can manually enter proceeds data, or wait for a fix

I am receiving this error “The uploaded PDF does not appear to be a valid 1099-DA document. No proceeds data could be extracted.” after trying to import a 1099-DA from Coinbase. The file is the original, unedited 1099-DA PDF downloaded directly from Coinbase. The file size is 1.62 MB. If CoinTracker cannot recognize this file, then you guys have a serious system problem since one would believe that many 1099-DA's will be coming from Coinbase. Please fix this issue ASAP. I am a paying customer.

Thank you Eric. Support Ops Tools please investigate whether your scanning AI had the benefit of training on Uphold's 1099-DA formatting. Uphold would be a common exchange, but their documents are dissimilar to those of Coinbase. If the scan AI integration wasn't trained with Uphold docs, then logically it doesn't know what it's looking at when someone like me attempts to upload an Uphold issued 1099
